We can design a complete solution for your custom CD's including fully customizing the CD Silk-screen or DVD Packaging!

The CD silk-screen process starts with a nylon mesh screen. This mesh is usually between 240 and 400 lines per inch.

  • This screen is first coated with a light-sensitive emulsion.
  • The positive film is put on top of the screen under a large glass and a vacuum motor removes all of the air from the chamber.
  • The film and screen are then exposed to Ultraviolet light, which results in a thickening or hardening of the emulsion.
  • The screen is then rinsed out with a solvent, leaving a negative image in the screen
  • The screen is put onto the printing machine and covered with ink
  • A rubber squeegee pushes the ink through the screen image onto the CD surface
  • VIOLA - a CD silk-screen Printed Image!
