DLT Tapes for Magnetic Data Storage

A DLT tape, short for digital linear tape, is a form of magnetic tape data storage technology developed in 1984. It consists of a ½ inch wide magnetic tape enclosed by a protective cartridge. There are also Super DLT tapes (SDLT), which have a higher storage capacity, the most recent generation having the ability to store up to 800 GB with a data rate of 60 MB/s. No matter the data capacity, each tape guarantees 30 years of data retention when stored under proper conditions. Total Media carries a range of DLT and SDLT tapes with varying storage capacities to best fit you and your data storage needs. LTO tapes are also available.
