Here at Total Media, we stock
the finest CDR and DVD R discs available today. There
are many different types of CDR and DVD R and you may
need some help deciding which to buy. Before you
proceed, here are a few points to ponder before deciding
which CDR or DVD R is right for you.
There are several different
capacities for CDR discs and DVD R discs. While most CDR
discs are 74 minute (650 MB), we also have 80 minute
(700 MB), Mini CD Discs (22 min, 180 MB), and Business
Card CDR Discs (5 min, 52 MB). There are also several
forms of DVD R discs, such as authoring and general
purpose. Both offer 4.7 GB and 9.4 GB DVD R discs.
Generally there are three different
ways to print CDR and DVD R discs. Total Media offers
three ways to custom print your unbranded CDR or DVD R.
Thermal printing is a one color — black, blue, red, or
green — crisp print with no drying time. For a full
color, sharp image transfer, inkjet printing is the way
to go. With the availability to color match 16.7 million
colors, ink-jet printing offers the most cost effective
color CDR or DVD R printing solution. For those looking
for a photo-realistic color print, Total Media is proud
to introduce the Everest digital screen printer. With
print that rivals silk-screened images, the Everest
printer’s output are breathtaking, giving the face of
your CDR or DVD R disc beautiful photo realistic
printing.
The differences in manufacturer’s
chemical compositions of CDR and DVD R discs cause the
burn, or dye side, of CDR and DVD R discs to vary in
color. This should not affect compatibility,
reliability, or quality. We offer CDR discs in a variety
of colors including red, blue, orange, green, purple and
diamond. Diamond CDR discs are made to have the look of
a replicated CD, or a CD that you would buy from a music
store. DVD R discs come with a few options, such as a
purple or gold dye side.
CDR technology has progressed to the
point where virtually all CDR discs are universally
compatible between audio and computer systems.
Some will find that DVD R
discs will not work in older DVD players. This is
something that is known throughout the industry and as
the field of DVD R technology progresses, this issue
will eventually disappear.
