Media packaging, such as jewel cases and CD sleeves are designed essentially for the purpose of protecting the media they hold, and Total Media Inc. provides a wide variety of packaging options, in addition to our DVD and CD services, from which to choose. One of the most popular forms of packaging we carry is the jewel case – an item that has been used to protect compact discs since 1982, when CDs were first released. The jewel case is a clear, plastic case that consists of a back half, which grips and secures the disc, and a front cover, that are hinged together. In addition to its rigid design, which is perfect for protecting the disc inside from damage, this case is also well suited for advertising the disc that lies within through the use of printed inserts. A simpler, less expensive option is CD sleeves. They are essentially paper envelopes with transparent windows that allow the disc label to be seen.

DVD Packaging

In addition to jewel cases and CD sleeves, Total Media also stocks clamshell cases and Amaray cases which are most commonly used to hold DVDs. The Amaray case is the most common way to package a DVD. It is similar to the jewel case with its hinged design, but has a slightly larger format. It also often includes printed inserts to market the disc inside. With multiple packaging options available for regular and short run CD and DVD duplication, custom CDs and DVDs, and media conversion projects, you are sure to find the product that works best for your project and your price range!
